Birthday Bio for Carol, October 8th

myspace-icons-celebrations5I’m the October 8th birthday girl!

Time marches on. My kids are adults now, which is terrifying. My son finishes up at the University of Maryland in May, and is planning on (“some kind of”) graduate school. My daughter just earned her master’s degree, and has actually found a job in…………….LUXEMBOURG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fortunately, she’ll be home for my birthday, and will stay home for three months, until it is time to go back to Europe and start her job.

Me? I just keep on keepin’ on. All around me, my friends and their families are being hit by the big “C”, and it is quite depressing. I try to be as supportive as I can be, but it’s starting to get to me. Even the young adult children of some friends are being diagnosed. Several good friends have passed away, and I am talking about my young contemporaries.

Ok, enough of that.

I LOVE getting Mystery Lyrics every day, even when I don’t respond. It’s a good FUN part of my day, and I am grateful for this internet family.

No ... not THAT one ... but your mind DOES instinctively go to Ringo Starr at the mere mention of the name, doesn't it???One of the LEAST likely records to make it all the way to #1 in 1964 has got to be "Ringo" by Lorne Greene. Amongst all the latest hits from The British Invasion Artists, huge Motown acts and the piercing falsettos of The Be […]
