Bowing Out

I am now going to make a decision that I have been thinking of for quite a while. The fact is that I am finding it increasingly difficult to find the time to Host Mystery Lyrics every 14 days. And when I look at the feedback that I am getting back (4 comments this time around, the last few presentations have seldomly brought substantially more), then I’m afraid its just not worth my effort….

Add to that the criticism that regularly flies into my face from certain players for playing via a weblog - “It would be great if you could just send the question like everyone else instead of forcing us to go to the website” (an example from this week from someone who never played my lyrics anyway - even when I was doing it “like everybody else”) - then maybe you will appreciate why I find it difficult to motivate myself.

For these reasons I have decided that yesterdays Mystery Lyrics was the last one from the Sunset Cowboy. In future I will just sit back and play

As far as the website is concerned. I will leave it where it is for the present, but really there doesnt seem any point in continuing - except for the days when Lyrics are posted it is just a playground for spammers - probably nobody will notice any difference anyway.

Yes, it makes me very sad to make this decision, but there’s just no point anymore. Maybe in future I will have time to answer your lyrics
