Name That Tune #12

25 May 2008 117 views 14 Comments

As you can see by the table of the Top Ten, things are all very tight at the top of the “Name That Tune” league

I get the feeling though that the next song might just sort this out a little… either it will be a gimme (as successful single this year in Europe) or it will be one of those tunes that you can’t quite place and nobody will get it right. Personally I am very interested to see how you will get along with this.

The last tune proved to be just too easy for you. The following players knew that I was looking for Loretta Lynn - Coalminers Daughter (a great movie by the way with a great performance from Sissy Spacek):

Dan, Clete6, mstintear, Renfield, Mike (daddyo), Tink, Sev, rettaric, Mike (mscho), Spnnrn, TOML, ctessin, Ellie, ladylion, spudpar, Shari, Lynda, elvisaaron, Debi, Trishabug, Mike (newbill) - congrats to you all

1 Dan 20
2 Clete6 18
  mstintear 18
4 Renfield 16
  Mike (daddyo) 16
  Tink 16
  Sev 16
  rettaric 16
  Mike (mscho) 16
  Spnnrn 16

Which brings us over to todays tune, lets see what you make of this:

As I have had a number of complaints from George W. Bush and Jennifer Love Hewitt (who would prefer to get post only from me), please dont send the answers to them, please answer in the comments box below ;).

Don’t forget to have a look at the poll on the sidebar. This time we are defining the 20 essential Glam singles

    Hi Dave:

Just so you know. I don’t have any idea what the songs are but that in no way diminishes my interest or my pleasure in the game. Keep ‘em coming. We need more lighthearted stuff exactly like this and who knows? Maybe I’ll catch a wave one day. Kudos to all who do know them and if nothing else, I’ll enjoy watching the standings to see how my friends are doing.

Hi Dave I am still on vacation or else I could have answered #11 with great ease. Just checking back in home between trips and to see if the cats have survived (yes I have a friend stopping in to see to their needs, but they get lonely too)
As it happens Drastic Fantastic is a new purchase for me and made the road trip selection. KT Tunstall and I believe it’s Saving Face. I think I much prefer her Eye to the Telescope cd, but some of these songs are growing on me. I do like this one.
