Name that Tune 24

So, you think its getting too easy, do you? (Only) 13 answers for the last issue of Name That Tune doesnt exactly point that way, but then again as I always maintain - there are no difficult clues, either you know it, then its easy, if you dont it isnt…

Maybe you have noticed that we have a new logo for “Name That Tune” - how do you like it? Also, I’m slowly getting the look and feel of the site the way I want it. Comments as always are most welcome (but only if they’re honest opinions. Oh, and by the way, if anyone does get any error messages about scripts not working or being damaged etc…, please let me know. Cheers

Well done the following players who knew that Name That Tune 23 was

“Kiss - Beth”
(OK, so it was easy, but dont get used to it):

  • Dan, Mike (mscho), Trish and Todd, TOML, Alan Novich, Spud, Krissy, Renfield, Spnnrn, Mike (daddyo), Sev, Ellie and Clete6.

I’m not sure about todays tune.. it was a hit in England all of 35 years ago, but whether it crossed the Atlantic, I can’t say for sure. See what you make of this

    Dan

      @Dan,
      first answer, unfortunately you didnt quite get the artist right… Lynsey de Paul is a woman (used to be quite delicious actually), but the voice on the clip is definately male…. one point though, thats fine :)

  2. Clete6 says:

    Sounds like the Fortunes, so it must be Storm In A Teacup. #7 over there, but didn’t chart here.

  3. alan novich says:

    lynsey de paul and storm in a teacup did NOT make the journey, Dave, unless it was on the Titanic!

    • Dave says:

      @alan novich,
      Lynsey de Paul was not on the Titanic Alan, a little too young for that, but she wasnt singing this song either…

  4. rettaric says:

  7. RENFIELD says:

  8. Spnnrn says:

    “Storm In A Teacup” by the Fortunes

    (it really sounds like the Wiggles…but I’ll go with the Fortunes :)

  9. Ellie says:

    Is there some reason I’m getting answers and responses, or am I just way too late? I thought that the answer from one week has the lyric from the new one and I’m showing Storm in a Teacup by the Fortunes and everyone’s remarks as well as last week’s answer. I think I’m confused.

      @Ellie,
      Dear Ellie, your answer came between me releasing the comments and making the next Name That Tune, a most unfortunate time I must admit… :(
