Sad news has reached Mystery Lyrics that Paul Stetler, one of our most active players for many years, passed away far too early last friday, barely a month before his 54th birthday.

Paul had been suffering with kidney problems, and had two transplants, one in 1995 and one in 2003. In June he was admitted to hospital to have a valve replacement surgery and he unfortunately didn’t recover properly. He contracted an infection shortly afterwards and had to have emergency surgery again before passing away on July 31st.

Although I didn’t know Paul in person, we had been friends via Facebook and Myspace as well as on Mystery Lyrics of course for a few years, and it seemed that he really enjoyed his music. Always a friendly and quiet spoken man as far as I knew him, he will be sadly missed by us all.

Please take the opportunity to read his obituary (link follows) and sign the guestbook. Those of you with a Facebook account may also leave messages of commiseration on his Facebook page.

Rest In Peace Paul
